The Knowledge Economy, Innovation Management, and the Transformation of Education in the Interests of Sustainable Development of Physical Culture at the University
Annotation:This article examines the relationship between this triad and physical culture (PC) at the university. Although this connection may seem non-obvious at first glance, a closer analysis reveals its key and fundamental significance. Physical culture is transforming from a simple “physical education class” into a vitally important element of the university ecosystem functioning on the principles of sustainable development.
The primary motivation for students should not be grades or obligation, but rather personal interest and an intrinsic desire for physical self-improvement. The elective nature of physical culture enables students to choose sports activities that are appealing to them, which in turn encourages regular participation in sports. The project-based approach, aimed at individualizing the educational process and developing not only personal but also interdisciplinary skills among students, helps to engage learners and provides them with freedom of choice in exploring the academic content of the discipline.
